The Associate Pastor of Family Ministries is a full-time staE position of Rosebower Baptist Church. This position works directly under the supervision of the Senior Pastor in planning, coordinating, and executing the family-based ministries of the church, specifically in children and youth. The overall focus of his ministry is to ensure that the discipleship pathway for children and youth is organized, equipped, and implemented in such a way that children and youth grow in their walk with Jesus Christ through regular ministry, and parents are engaged and equipped to disciple their students in the home.
Align family ministry under the vision and leadership of the Senior Pastor, accommodating any requests by the Senior Pastor.
Direct, coordinate, and ensure execution of all children’s and youth ministry services and programs for regularly scheduled ministry and special ministry events.
Lead in recruiting, training, and equipping volunteers for children’s and youth ministries.
Ensure proper background check of all children’s ministry workers.
Aid in producing annual budgets for areas of responsibility. -
Organize, lead, and participate in ministry events such as VBS, Youth Camp, Kids Camp, Fall Festival, etc.
Intentionally connect with children, students, and families and be actively engaged in their lives on and oE campus. - Meet with parents regularly to encourage, pray, and provide counsel. -
Collaborate in service scheduling and seasonal planning alongside the Senior Pastor and other ministry staE.
Continue to grow depth in biblical knowledge and eEective teaching practices, while recruiting, training, and giving opportunities to gifted believers within the church.
Understand current children’s and youth culture and climate, while seeking to be doctrinally faithful to the scriptures and the belief of the church.
Maintain associated spaces, demonstrating excellence, order, and cleanliness.
Preach/Teach as directed, or in absence of Senior Pastor. -
Perform other tasks as designated by the Senior Pastor.

Position Description: The church custodian(s) is responsible for the campus preparation, operation, and cleanliness for regular and special service activities, in order that the campus and buildings are presentable and inviting to the membership and visitors. The custodian is a vital role as it empowers ministry and physically stewards the campus which the Lord has blessed RBC to utilize for gospel ministry.
Keep the insides of buildings neat, clean, and organized for all services. - Vacuum carpets at least once a week. Additional may be required due to usage.
Clean oOice areas as needed (2x/week minimum).
Dry mop fellowship hall and vacuum as necessary. Wipe up spills and spots with a damp cloth.
Dust furniture and wood surfaces weekly, including classroom tables.
Clean campus glass weekly and touch-up as needed. -
Wipe/wash fellowship hall tables after food/drink usage. - Empty campus wastebaskets at least weekly.
Check and clean the nursery after use (vacuum and use disinfectant wipes).
Clean restrooms prior to services, to include commodes, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, and trash.
Stock restroom toiletries.
Clean and fill baptistry when needed along with associated towels and robes.
Spot clean kitchen throughout the week. Primary cleaning after meals is the responsibility of the Kitchen Committee.
Availability to set up rooms for activities (tables/chairs, etc). - Organize and clean storage spaces with guidance from pastor/elders.
Availability for additional space usage (weddings, funerals, etc.) as special pay is provided.
Change lights and perform minor maintenance tasks. - Strive to keep sidewalks clear of debris, snow, and ice.
Check and maintain heating/cooling usage during non-occupation of campus.
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and toiletries, in conjunction with the oOice administrator, to maintain the budget.
Open buildings at least 30 minutes before services and check buildings to make sure heat or air is working properly.
Turn on applicable building lighting before services. Turn oO after services.
Periodically ensure thermostats are set for away settings and temperatures. - Open/close for special outside services (additional pay available).
